One of the secrets behind great and glowing skin is to keep it hydrated and moisturized. According to skin experts the world over, the skin is able to keep its structure better and won't be susceptible to blemishes. Sounds simple, isn't it? But with a wide variety of products out there that promises to bring moisture, it might be a little too overwhelming for some. So we're sharing some of our skincare secrets with you to start you on your way to great skin.

Moisturizers are a must!

We know, we know. Duh! But people tend to forget that moisturizers come in all shapes and formulas, not just the traditional cream types. The trick is to find one that works for you and pile on as much as you can.

Note-worthy ingredients

Checking the ingredients of your products is important and if you want something that'll help your skin lock in moisture. Look for products that contain glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides as they help keep in moisture for a plump and bouncy skin.

Target specific areas

While it's good to moisturize your face as a whole, targeting specific areas that are prone to get dry can go a long way to making your skin glow. Get products specifically for your eyes and lips.

Avoid chemicals

Having too many man-made chemicals can do a lot of damage to the skin as there has been evidence that it strips away the skin of its natural moisture. Read ingredients carefully and avoid products that contain phthalates and parabens.

Don't exfoliate TOO much

Over-exfoliation can do some serious damage to the skin. Not only does it aggravate blemishes and irritate the skin, but it also strips away much-needed moisture away from the skin. Exfoliate once or twice a week and immediately follow through with your skincare so you won't damage your skin.

We highly recommend Botanifique's Hydra Power Collection, made with all-natural ingredients and infused with Birch Tree Sap™ designed to lock in moisture and repair damaged cells for bouncy and bright skin.
